MASOPO in an interview says the‎ Event marks yet another clear fulfillment of PRESIDENT HAKAINDE HICHILEMA’s 2021 CAMPAIGN PROMISES pledge to open up rural areas, IMPROVE TRADE ROUTES and enhance the MOVEMENT of goods and SERVICES for NATIONAL PROSPERITY

MASOPO charged that these INITIATIVES which are fully privately financed will ease pressure on the NATIONAL TREASURY ensuring long-term INFRASTRUCTURE SUSTAINABILITY through toll revenue

He says the concessionaires will also develop SOCIAL INFRASTRUCTURE such as SCHOOLS, HEALTH POSTS, MARKETS and POLICE STATIONS along the corridor to uplift surrounding COMMUNITIES.
